The main purpose of this update is to address some of the questions we’ve been receiving. Also, please accept our apology for some recent electrical and water outages that did not have prior approval from our office. We have addressed these concerns with the contractor and have been assured that this will not happen again.
There is an upcoming electrical outage scheduled for this Saturday, April 17 that is only supposed to affect the offices in 296 and 394. Please notify our Member Services staff if you experience any interruption of service.

Q: No towel hooks
- A: It was our understanding that the shower stalls came equipped with towel hooks. We have purchased separate towel hooks and are installing them in all locations.
- A: The sub contractor installed the wrong shower heads. The shower heads have been replaced with the correct product.
- A: The Suitmate leaks have been resolved.
- A: There are still some plumbing issues that haven’t been resolved. Water is not draining properly in the accessible shower stalls. These spaces are unusable until the problem can be addressed.
- A: We have been assured by the manufacturer and colleagues at other institutions that the lockers provide adequate air flow. These lockers were also selected for security and cleanliness reasons. As with all lockers, wet items should not be left in lockers overnight.
- A: Will be installed soon.
- A: We will begin renting lockers in early May. Current locker renters who have a valid RS membership will have first priority in the new space.
- A: Based on the information we have now, the expected move date will be late May or early June.
- A: Yes, previous locker renters with a valid RS membership can move up to the renovated space in early May. If they are faculty/staff members, they can be moved to the newly renovated F/S locker room in late May or early June.
