Important Notice—Service Interruption to Gym 293

We were notified today that the university needs to install scaffolding in Gym 293 to inspect the structure. This work is to be completed Wednesday, December 30, 8am-2pm. Unfortunately, the area from the south ramp facility entrance, equipment room and south stairway to Gym 293 will be closed due to the movement of scaffolding related equipment from the south ramp to Gym 293. Gym 293 will remain closed until January 11, 2010.

The university has hired a structural engineer to inspect the Wildermuth Fieldhouse as well, and a lift with a large boom will be used to inspect this space beginning January 4. This work could temporarily interrupt activities in Wildermuth as the company completes the inspection. The inspection in Gym 293 and the Wildermuth Fieldhouse is supposed to be completed by January 10, but the timeline could be extended if problems are identified.
