The contractors renovating the Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER) locker room are finalizing plans to construct the concrete bases for the new lockers. This will require them to place a cement truck on the south ramp of Wildermuth and run a large hose to the locker room.
Work will take place on Saturday, January 16 and is expected to last most of the day. Space around the south entrance will be blocked off and participants will be redirected around the area.

Project Updates: January 8, 2010
A few project updates as of January 8, 2010.
Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER) Structural Inspection:
The structural inspection was completed a day early, and the engineer’s summary report should be completed by next week. We will notify you as soon as possible if any problems require additional attention. Non emergency issues will be addressed during spring break.
Hot Water Repair:
We’ve been notified that the hot water repair should be completed on Tuesday, January 12th. As a reminder, water will be shut off in the Wildermuth section of the building on Friday, January 8, until Noon.
Hours Update:
Beginning Sunday, January 10, the SRSC and Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER) will be open 8am-11:30pm.

Water Shut Off January 8, 8am – 12:00pm
We have been notified that the water will need to be shut off once again, impacting the entire Wildermuth section of the Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER). This shut off is scheduled for Friday, January 8, 8am – 12:00pm.
On a related note, Physical Plant is still working to resolve the hot water issue. It is our understanding that the problem part could not be repaired and location and shipment of a new part has been challenging. Unfortunately, this problem occurred in the 1917 portion of the building, which makes any repairs more complex.

Strength and Conditioning Space to Close for Roof Inspection
Recently we posted information notifying you of a required inspection of the Wildermuth girder system due a break in Gym 293. The university felt it was important to inspect the entire facility to ensure structural integrity and safety. We learned yesterday that the inspectors will need to close the strength and conditioning area on Wildermuth Courts 4 and 5 from 8-10am on January 7 to inspect that portion of the structure.
Upon tomorrow’s inspection, strength and conditioning space will resume normal hours closing at 9:00pm. For current Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER) hours, please visit the Campus Recreational Sports’ web site.

Indoor Track Service Interruption: January 4 - 10
The use of the indoor track will be interrupted from Jan 4 - 10 due to repair and maintenance associated with the main locker room renovation project in the Wildermuth Intramural Center (HPER).

Water Interruption January 5, 7am – 12pm
As noted in previous communication, the locker room renovation contractors will need to periodically turn off water, electricity and/or the HVAC system to complete their work.
This will be happening Tuesday, January 5 (7am-Noon) as the water will be turned off in the Wildermuth section of the HPER Building which impacting the drinking fountains in the 10 court field house, the Men’s Faculty/Staff locker room, the equipment room, the 296/396 restroom etc.
